I started The Bell Jar last week. It's a good book, but very depressing. ;( Quick, someone recommend a happier book.

i don't really read happy books haha. I just finished a book called "risky games" by olga bicos, but it's not happy. lol. pretty good though. involves animal testing in cosmetics, murder, love etc etc.

I've read the Shopaholic books. I have yet to read the fourth one though, it's still waiting on my bookshelf.

I just finished She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb. Now I'm reading Tipping the Velvet by Sarah Waters (so good, and BBC America turned into a tv movie once). It's kind of naughty though haha.

I don't know if anyone else has read these, but they're pretty popular...anyway, Sloppy Firsts and Second Helpings by Meg McCafferty are good, they're nice, light reading, but they're entertaining

i'm reviving this thread.
ps- party monster, originally disco bloodbath, is one of my favorites. i read it about four yeas ago and its what got me interested in the NYC club scene.
i just finished twilight which was really really good, my heart dropped. it was about this girl, who loves a boy, whos a vampire. it sounds cheesey and stuff, but i swear its the most romantic sincere thing ever. the lack of sex lets you honestly see their real love instead of lust. i love it so bad that i bought it so i can underline my favorite parts.
i'm about the start honeymoon with my brother which is a memoir about a guy who got left at the alter and how it transformed his life and then maybe night, a book about the holocaust by a holocaust survivor.
has anyone read a million little pieces? a friend of mine read it and said its really good as story even if its mostly made up, any other opinions out there?
