Everyone have a good New Years? I was planning on keeping it low key with some friends and movies but we ended up going to some guy's party for a while, then headed back to Maddie's house for alcohol (no worries; I was DD). Anyway, I have some fairly huge resolutions for 2008. I looked back at my '07 resolutions and miraculously I accomplished all of them (with the exception of one which isn't important to me anymore). So, New Year's resolutions? memories? any last words about 2007? It was quite a good year in music, no?

I wasn't a big fan of 2007 on a personal level...obviously I have no one to blame but myself for that, but whatever.
I don't have any new years resolutions...but it would be nice to get the major things in life...like a job/career, a bf....more dinero in general so I can actually have a little fun.
I really didn't listen to much new music aside from Fall Out Boy and Paramore.
We stayed home and did nothing for new years. I didn't even have any alcohol.

My New Years was extremely low key, but that's the kind of thing I like, so it was fine with me.
2007 was an excellent year for music and concerts for me, but now I'm not sure what I have to look forward to for 2008.
And I haven't made my resolutions yet, I've been thinking about it, but haven't actually committed to any yet...what are everyone else's so I can steal some ideas?

this is my list for 2008
Choose and visit top 10 colleges of choice -Pick degree/major Keep up with excellent schoolwork -Make an A average in AP English -Be proud of second Film Fest project -Become a better actress (reconnect with character(s) and stop being bitter) -Raise GPA to 4.1 Remain calm and organized Get a fun job Enjoy high school Retain and build confidence Keep trust of parents Gain acceptance from Dad about future Don’t be safe
The last one refers to me not doing something just because it's the easier choice. Oh, and the part about not being bitter is because I've had a mental block in terms of relating to and becoming my characters and part of that is because I'm really bitter about the entire Tiger Theatre experience/politics, so I really need to get over that.

We're getting close to the halfway mark for the year...so I was wondering how your year is going so far.
Things are the same as always for me. I really need to change that. I've applied to a couple jobs but hear nothing back from any (except the scam ones that want me to sell vacuum cleaners or whatever).

pfft, you call that a speech?!? it's only one line long!.. i guess that's the best speech you can expect from a shy person a shy unambitious person, so it's short and sweet. Hey, Lincoln's Gettysburg address was only like a few minutes long and it's historical! Plus my 'speech' was so moving and amazing, that it didn't need to be any longer. It was straight to the point (I'm a person of few words....except in this explaination that is like a hundred words longer than the speech).

I'm starting to apply for summer jobs, so we'll see what happens. I hope I get hired at Freebirds. So far this year has been amazing. I've made a lot of decisions about "the future" and I'm pretty excited.

Haha, clearly your speech and Lincoln's are at the same level, yours was probably a little bit better; we should petition to have yours put into the history books. I feel very motivated My year is so so. I have a full time job for the summer, so I'm happy because I hate having no money. I also saw The Cure for the first time last weekend, and it was wonderful. Um, that's about it. I think I need another motivational speech from Kelli.
