Well some of the stuff in the other threads made me think of stuff I liked as a kid, so I thought why not a thread for that kind of stuff. I loved shows like the smurfs and the snorks. I had TONS of rainbow bright and my little pony stuff (come on that stuff was so rad). Played barbies all the time with my cousin. I rode quads and dirt bikes (yup, i was semi tomboyish and I lived in hickville, we do stuff like that). I remember the first movie I went and seen in a theater was Feivel (sp?) goes west (any one remember those movies..feivel an american tale and feivel goes west?) I remember seeing The Labyrinth as a kid and being scared (when i was like 5)...now I love it and think the whole casting of David Bowie as the Goblin King is genious. I loved the GNR song Paradise City. I took dance lessons. I'll stop now....but yeah just talk about stuff you liked as a kid or didn't like when you were a kid...the good old days, like the late 80's early 90's.... EDIT: here's a pic of the gummi bears:

I loved My Little Pony when I little. I had the movie and this big collection of My Little Pony dolls..I even had the barn to keep them in haha. xD Ooh I also liked Polly Pocket, those things were rad. In fact, I still have all of my original Polly Pockets tucked away in my closet. Nothing can beat the originals..the newer ones that are out today are scary because the Polly doll is 10 times bigger now. o_0 Oh, did anyone else watch the "Land Before Time" movies? I looooved them, haha. Hmm what else.. Haha oh, I used to collect those scary Troll dolls when I was younger as well. xD I even had one that talked when you squeezed its tummy. But when I look back on it, those dolls were uber freaky lol.

Yeah i remember all those land before time movies...they're still making them, that's the crazy part. They have like 9 of them or something now...I didn't have polly pockets when i was little all my girl cousins LOVE them now. I remembered something that i forgot before, but i don't know what they were called. they were these little plastic covertible type dolls. like you could tuck their heads and arms into the center part and they had a big gem (jem and the holograms was awesome too, hehe that reminded me) on the front of them. I had some that had make up inside them...i wish i could remember what they were called, i loved those. the hair on them was "realistic" I also had popples and Hello Kitty<--loved that stuff sooo much. I had tons of trolls...troll pencil toppers and everything, very creepy...it's funny when i go to bingo now there are all the old ladies w/ their crazy lucky troll dolls haha. Remember that show land of the lost? where the family's vehicle like falls into this whole in the earth from like an earthquake or something and then they're living w/ like dinosaurs and stuff. That was cool. I also had a cabbage patch doll named Paula Ella, that was the crappy thing about cabbage patch they had weird names, so you couldn't like rename them hehe..i love going into the store now and looking at the cabbage patch doll names. Oh and heman and shera, strawberry shortcake, ninja turtles hehe....ahhh and CAREBEARS can't forget that and garbage pail kids...I'm rambling...

Yeah, it's kind of crazy that they're still making Land Before Time movies. The latest ones look cheesy..nothing can beat the first two. About those convertible type dolls..I *think* I know what dolls you are talking about, but I can't remember what they're called either. Hmm Land of the Lost..I sort of remember that show..and speaking of shows, remember that one with Big Foot in it? I can't recall the name of the show, but this family hits Big Foot with their car and then adopts him or something haha. xD I had Cabbage Patch dolls too! I still have mine...they're also tucked away in the closet, lol. Ninja Turtles & Carebears - loved them.
Man, I miss all of this crazy stuff haha.

the big foot show was harry and the henderson i think. I remember that! I liked it, i had completely forgotten about that... I looked everywhere to figure out what those dolls were called, they were awesome, but can't find them anywhere. Remember that show with the sister, vickey who was a robot? i can't remember the name but she had dark hair...hmm.. Most of my toys are all broken and stuff cause i have younger siblings who broke everything. I had a doll where you pushed her arm up to touch a butterfly and it made her hair grow. I liked that. **agree about the land before time movies**

Harry & the Henderson's..I think that's right hehe. I used to like watching that show. Oh and the show with the sister who is a robot..I know which show you're talking about. But I can't think of the title..hmm..I want to say that it had "Wonder" in the title. This is going to bug me now, haha.
And since we're on the topic of shows.. Did you watch all of those old school Nickelodeon shows like "Are You Afraid of the Dark" and "Salute Your Shorts"? Those shows were great..or at least I think they were. xD

I need some more reminiscing..hmmm.....what to reminisce about? ok...did any of you listen to New Kids on The Block? I sooo did my cousin had two copies of their tape (oh yes kiddies, cassette tapes, they were things that were around before cd's ) and she gave me one. ahhh those were the days. Also in my dance class one year our warm up routine was to NKOTB's "Hangin' Tough" haha... Did you guys take dance classes? Almost every little girl I know did. I took three years (two tap/ballet and one of jazz).

I attempted to be a girl scout. I went to 2 meetings and our leader quit one of the other girls in the troupe or whatever her mom took over and they moved the location of meetings (without telling me) cause i wasn't part of their little clique...stupid second grade cliques haha.

Aww, so sad. Boo on cliques. My troop sucked cos I was at a small private school (my school decided to start offering Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, but then cancelled it after two years) and yeah..we didn't really do anything fun. :[

oh well, atleast there are enough girl scout troups around that i can get some tasty cookies!
I bet darbie's mommy (or some family member) has pics of her in her tutu and i would LOVE to see them lol!
I also remember drinking tea with my grandma. and having certain foods there (like sandwich cookies and velveeta cheese). We were just talking the other day about having tea together when i was little.

oh well, atleast there are enough girl scout troups around that i can get some tasty cookies! Haha, agreed. Mm Girl Scout cookies..I like the thin mints and the ones with peanut butter inside. When I was younger, I remember watching All My Children and The Price is Right (I love Plinko, lmao..I want to play that game XD) with my babysitter. And then we'd eat Vanilla Wafers, haha.
