I keep an physical list of what I want to read (so I don't forget). As of now it is: Sweeny Todd Script Animal Farm (check) Glamorama (check; I recommend it or anything by Bret Easton Ellis) Ishmael (check; fantastic fantastic book. it changes your entire outlook in EVERYTHING. I think everyone should read this) Barrel Fever & Other Stories The Great Gatsby Party Monster American Psycho Rule of Four The Last Legion Only Revolutions The Virgin Suicides THE LAST AND FINAL HARRY POTTER Shopaholic and Baby Goodbye Lemon Everything is Illuminated Enders Game In Cold Blood Fight Club Lunar Park The Rules of Attraction Freak Show The Stranger Naked Lunch The Male Cross-Dresser Support Group A Cannibal in Manhattan Never Mind Nirvana (no, it's not about the band) King of Methelehem Sad Movies Bright Lights, Big City Story of My Life Model Behavior Slaughterhouse Five The Story of B Fahrenheit 451 Very long, I know, but I plan to have about half of them knocked out by the end of the summer. I just started In Cold Blood, and Lunar Park is next on my list. Anyway, discuss good books (or bad ones, I suppose). I'm always looking to add to my list.

I haven't read Virgin Suicides, but I've seen the movie...the only book on that list that I've read is The Great Gatsby which I personally liked when we read it for school, but most people didn't....
I really enjoy books by Dean Koontz, but I'm not sure if they're your type of thing...they're kind of suspense/thriller/sci-fi kind of stuff...but I enjoy them...some good ones of his: "The Bad Place" "Midnight" <---I've even re-read that one like twice.... and "Odd Thomas" Have you read "White Oleander" ((Janet Fitch)) ? It's waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy better than the movie.
I started a reading list but never read any of them (I really need to get a library card up here....) and the only one I can remember from my list is "Catcher In The Rye".
Have any of you read "Deception Point" by Dan Brown? Or "Digital Fortress"? I liked "The DaVinci Code" and Loved "Angels & Demons" but haven't read those yet.

I have Deception Point and I've been meaning to read it but haven't gotten a chance. I finished In Cold Blood and Lunar Park, both of which were fantastic. Especially Lunar Park; Bret Easton Ellis is now my new favorite author. That book freaked me out hardcore. I was reading it last night and only had about 50 pages left but I was so creeped out that I had to stop and finish it in the morning. And I'm not going to lie, I slept with the lights on and the clock unplugged.

Barrel Fever is amazing, Irene! It's my favorite of his I liked the Great Gatsby also. And, if anyone else is a nerd like me and into Lord of the Rings, JRR Tolkien's son just released a book that was mostly written by JRR but his son cleaned it up a little, called The Children of Hurin and I really like it so far. A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby is really good too.

I have the day off tomorrow, so I am going to the library to sign up for the summer reading program...me = nerd. Anyway, I'll let you know what I get...I'll probably steal some of the books off your list, Irene...and I'll take more suggestions too if anyone has any.

I'm a bigger nerd: I was a "library Hero" and volunteered all summer for the summer reading program at my local library from 5th through 10th grade =)
