Basically just talk about the new cds you've bought/downloaded recently to give insight to those who haven't gotten it yet.
Hellogoodbye-Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! Honestly, I was a bit dissapointed. I was hoping there'd be more new material. Out of the 11 songs, I'd already heard 8 of them. To me, it sounded more like a collection of demos than an album.
Deadsy-Phantasmagore (stfu katie) Once again, dissapointed. It sounded pretty similar to Commencement, but they've obviously been influenced by their labelmates a lot more. It sounded like they spent a few months recording this album, and if I'm going to wait four years for a new cd, I want it to sound better than this.
Blood Brothers- Young Machetes A definete improvement on the shitfest that was Crimes.
Eighteen Visions- S/T I can't say I love it. It's definetly different than Obsession, so maybe I'll just have to get used to it. There's a lot more of a grunge influence on this one. I was a bit overwhelmed by how big it sounds, if that makes any sense at all.
Yum! Yum! Orange!- Orange Funky Radio Two words: Japanese Ska. Everything from their cover of La Bamba to the adorable singer is super fun. It's like J-Rock's version of ska. Love. Get it if you're bored of the new Early November disc(s).
Crow People- S/T Super amazing old goth band. I love them. I just got a few more of their albums, which I'm sure will be as amazing as this one. Get this if you like goth.
That's it for now.

I bought Emery's cd "The Question" (the deluxe version). I'm loving it. Especially the songs "Studying Politics" and "So Cold I Could See My Breath"...I haven't listened much to the rest of the album, just like one full listen through.

Ok. I know this is for albums...but I don't have a place for show reviews, so I'm just using this thread. This is my show write up fromthe Rocket//The Honorary Title//Butch Walker show, it's copied from my kiwi journal...
Fortunately there were only three bands (unlike the KH one which had FIVE). My sister and I were pretty far up in the line and we got a spot at the barricade, but we were kind of to the right side of the stage, by the piano...which was quite nice and I think I was able to get some good pictures from there. First up was Rocket. They are an all girl band from California. It was nice to see an all girl band...cause in all honesty it's the only time I have...I think in total I've only seen like four bands with girls in them at all (Shiny Toy Guns, Assassins, Evanescence and Boys Night Out)...and never a full band of chicks =) It was their first time playing in Michigan. They were kind of New Wavey(which I like). At one point the singer was even playing a Keytar LOL. After the show my sister and I talked to the singer (Lauren) and she was really nice. Next was The Honorary Title. We were sooooo friggen excited to finally be seeing them live. We weren't disappointed. The set was great. I really didn't think it was possible for anyone to have legs tinier than Jon Radtke or William Beckett, but Jarrods are tiiiiinnnnnyyyyy. LOL. I really don't even know what I can say about them. It was just great. Jarrods voice is awesome live and the whole band was awesome. We got pics with Jarrod after the show...mine has some nachos in it...it's crazy, Lauren from Rocket was like "you can only have a picture with him if the Nachos can be in it too" ha. And lastly was Butch Walker. I had high expectations for him, cause I have his live DVD (which is amazing, especially the acoustic bonus set) and he was amazing. Butch Walker is a fucking performer. He doesn't just sing or play an instrument, he performs with every ounce of his body. So.Fucking.Amazing. He definitely ranks up very high on my favorite live musicians/bands. I can't even explain the greatness of it. He did pretty much all the songs Iwanted him to...lots of stuff from his old band ((Marvelous 3)) and his older solo albums and stuff. He also is a great story teller and has a great sense of humor. He had stories to tell for most of the songs and most of them were hillarious, and some were serious for the more serious songs. The show was on April 7th, the day before Easter and at one time he said something along the lines of "I don't think there's going to be an Easter, cause the fucking bunny's going to be frozen" --Seeing as how it was snowing! During the last song ("Lights Out") he came out into the crowd and made everyone dance around and just have a fucking great time. It was wild. After the show and after meeting Lauren and Jarrod, we went outside to wait for Butch. It was freezing. It was snowing the whole time, but we still waited, with about 18 other people. It was fun, even though it was so cold. After about 30-45 minutes he came out and said something like "You guys are all crazy! What are you doing waiting out here in the freezing cold" hehe. So we got a pic with him and stuff and then went home.

Ok, this topic doesn't really go in here, other than my thought that it is awesome, but I didn't want to start a new thread. Anyway, Geoff Kresge is back in Tiger Army, they announced it about a week ago, and I'm very excited! Jeff Roffredo was really good, but I'm glad Geoff is back.

Lots of new music lately.
Today I bought a special edition David Bowie album, a Lords of Acid Single, and this neat Lou Reed album that I forgot the title of and I accidentily left in my car so I can't check what it is. Also I just got new Bauhaus a few days ago. It's good. Real good. More poppy than any of their other stuff, but Peter Murphy still has all his theatrics going on.
More new stuff: Mike Ness: Under the Influences A little more country than I like, but it has some alright stuff.
Social Distortion: Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell LOOOVE. Seriously though I love Social D. They can do no wrong.
Social D: White Light/White Heat/White Trash See above.
She Wants Revenge: This is Forever Good. Nothing groundbreaking, nothing extremely memorable, but still good.
David Bowie & Stevie Ray Vaughan Live @ Los Colinas So cool. David Bowie far outshines SRV, so of course it's awesome. They cover White Light/White Heat, which is cool.
Joy Division: Martin Hannett's Personal Mixes Martin Hannett mixed some of JD's albums, and this is a collection of previously unreleased stuff/some of his own personal mixes
The Matches: A Band in Hope Not as spontaneous and youthful as their previous album, but still fresh and fun.
Joy Division: Let the Movie Begin, Came out along with Control, and it's got a bunch of cool Joy Division songs and a ton of interviews. And since I'm on a huge JD streak lately, I made Deren buy me Warsaw, which is a compilation of all the songs Joy Division recorded under the name Warsaw. It's SO badass.

Good to know, thank you. The video for 'that green gentleman' sounds cool, from how I've heard it described...hopefully it'll be released soon (if it hasn't already...I'm so out of the loop)
