This is from my Livejournal:
So, my Denver adventure. Kind of long, but meh.
On Friday, I flew out of LAX around 11 AM for Denver. I had to transfer planes in Phoenix, which sucked. Both planes were equally shitty. The restroom on the plane to Phoenix wasn't even working. Fun! Anyway, I arrived in Denver around 4 PM Colorado time. Laynie and Eric picked me up from the airport, and then we drove to their hotel in downtown Denver. It was so nice, and their room was way up on the 19th floor. Nice view of everything.
After checking in and stuff, we went to eat at this place called Noodle & Co. SO GOOD. I got a salad, but it was still really good. I checked their website and we have Noodle & Co. out here in California, but they're all nowhere near me. Sad. Anyway, after eating, we went to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Yessss. I liked it, so I might see it again with Ryan because he hasn't seen it yet. After the movie, we went outside to discover that it was RAINING. Oyyyy. But it was a nice break from the heat in Los Angeles. So we went back to the hotel, but ended up going out to Walgreens for Red Bull. When we got back to the hotel, we had vodka and Red Bull. Yum. I got the sugar-free Red Bull, but it was still good. Then I promptly went to bed because the vodka made me sleepy.
On Saturday, we got up around 9 and went downstairs for breakfast. I hoarded several apples like the traveling hobo that I was. Kekeke. Then eventually we headed out to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch, and then we stopped at Hot Topic on the 16th Street Mall. We went back to the hotel for awhile, and then headed over to the Ogden Theater around 4:45. There were already a bunch of MSI fans waiting outside. Ew. The Denver MSI fans were slightly worse than the ones in San Francisco. But anyway, Laynie and I kept searching for Kill Hannah's van so we could give Greg cookies. We eventually found it parked down the alley beside the Ogden. We saw Joey, their tour manager, walking by, so Laynie asked him to give the cookies to Greg. Joey is coooool. Mhm. He got me a guitar pick after the KH set and brought it to me when he saw me in the lobby.
But anyway, the show.. Kill Hannah played a good set, as usual. It was short, but still good. And they played the same set as the L.A. and S.F. shows. After Kill Hannah finished, I ran into Jonny when he was walking to the lobby. I told him how I went to the L.A. and S.F. shows, and then flew out to Denver for the show; I said that they're the only band I follow on tours because they're great and he thanked me. I asked him if he thought it was weird that I followed them, and he said no and that he felt honored. I asked him for a guitar pick because I couldn't find Joey, so he searched his pockets. He told me it was my lucky day, gave me a pick he found in his pocket and then gave me a quick hug. Then I went to the lobby and hung out with Laynie, Eric and people that Laynie's friend Jason knew. I talked to Greg, Dan and Mat the most. Laynie and I had bought these awesome, but semi-tacky, glittery star sunglasses, so we were walking around with them on. We also managed to get the boys to take pictures with them on. Hee. ;P But yeah, I had a fun time talking with them. Mat talked to me the most and actually remembered me from the LA and SF shows. Holy crap, go Mat's memory.
After the place cleared out, we tried to get the boys to go hang out with us at an Irish pub down the street.
Me: Maaaaat, please go, yeah?
Mat: -sigh- Hmm I don't know..
Me: Please? I'll buy you a drink.
Mat: -sigh- I don't really like having people buy drinks for me...buuuuuut...ok.
Cheeky boy. But plans didn't work out and Joe, the drummer, was the only one that could hang out. We were going to go to a club called Vinyl, but the line was sooooo friggin' long. So we said fuck it and didn't go. But at least I got some cool pictures after the show. Mat took one of me and Laynie with Jason, so that'll be online at some point.
Anyway, once I got back to the hotel, I packed up my bag and got a cab to the airport. It was only 1AM and my flight didn't leave until 6 AM. So I just kind of wandered around and did crossword puzzles because the shops were closed, heh. Anyway, I landed at LAX at 7:23 AM California time. Jen and Ryan picked me up, and then we ate at Denny's. Then I came home and had to go to work from 12:30 PM to 7:30 PM. SUCK!! But the parental units are on vacation for two weeks -- they're camping up in Northern California for a week and then going to Oregon the next week to visit my relatives. So I'm here by myself because Megan went to her mom's for two weeks. YESSSSS. It's sweet. Oh and last night, I got my second tattoo. I got a sniper heart tattooed on my back. I'll post pictures later when it's not so red.
