Books are these papers all grouped together with words on them...hehe...This is the only section w/o any threads and I had to change that so that any newcomers don't think we're a bunch of unintelligent hicks who can't discuss literature...This section can also be about magazines, newspapers etc, reading stuff. Anyways, to make this thread not so useless, what are some of your fave books? I love The Bad Place by Dean Koontz, he always puts these crazy twists in his books and this one is no exception.

Everyone I talk to says that they hate it, but my favorite is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I also enjoy classic novels like The Awakening, Great Expectations, etc.

I love The Great Gatsby, though I'm not usually as drawn to classic novels. I had to read it in 11th grade. I also had to read Of Mice & Men that year and I actually liked that too. Also read Old Man & The Sea by Hemmingway HATED it sooooo much, probably my least fave book ever (though i do like some of Hemmingway's other work).

Hm I haven't really read anything by Hemmingway yet. The book I didn't really enjoy having to read in high school was The Sound & the Fury. Oh man, that book confused the hell out of me haha.

I've never read that. I get confused a lot while reading shakespeare, but i'm probably just not smart enough to get it A book we read in school that basically no one liked, but i did was Alas, Babylon. For some reason I liked that. Hemmingway has a story called the Big Two Hearted River (or something like that) and we read it in class and it wasn't too bad, not a fave of mine or anything but I kinda liked it.

Has anybody here read the book I, Lucifer by Glen Duncan? If so what did you think of it? I've been wanting to check it out.
