I also ditto what Kelli said about classes, lol. My high school had a horrible selection of classes..there wasn't anything "fun" to take. Rah. I took three years of French, even though you only had to take two years of a foreign language. I liked French, but now I can't remember anything. :[ Well, except the dirty words. Har.

I've been taking Spanish for two years, and I'm going to take either one or two more years of Spanish then switch to French for a few years. Tomorrow is National Kids Day.

i had spanish from 2nd -5th grades then an honors high school spanish class in 8th grade and spanish II and spanish III (independent study). I hardly remember anything at all. My brothers and sisters started spanish in Kindergarden and young 5's/preschool and had it every year through 8th grade.
It's because they have "seasonal friends" aka immigrant workers from mexico/texas/florida who don't speak any english and stay only duing the "picking season" and work on the farms here then go back, so i guess they figured, hey we'll teach the kids young so they can talk to eachother or something haha. actually they say the earlier you start learning a foreign language the better you are at it..
tamara, you have to have lots of french and even classes in french? wow i feel dumb, maybe, i thought quebec was like the only french canadian province, so i figured the rest of ya'll didn't have the submersion aspect of french.

we went to spain w/ spanish club and you had to have atleast two years...it was pretty cool, there was nobody that i hated on the trip and only like one person that i even disliked a little. it was nice barcelona=way cooler than madrid. i want to learn french. I'd like to learn mandarin chinese (my step mom speaks it she's from like hong kong or something, my two little brothers can speak both fluently i believe and stella's mom lives here and doesn't speak any english so it would be nice to know what she's saying when she starts speaking in chinese).

I took 6 years of spanish and it now comes in handy because one of the crazy ass residents at the nursing home only speaks spanish...speaking of shitty things has anyone pushed wheel chairs for 8 hours a day?
